Weddings

The wedding experience we provide is unlike like a traditional DJ. Most DJ’s today are push and play with their songs. They have little blending and unique transitions in the music flow. My work history includes 20 years experience working in the nightclub and corporate industry. The events in those industries require an ability to make the night seamlessly flow with music and a format that appeals to everyone. This unique style will have your guests talking about the wedding reception for weeks after.

Check out this article, “Booking DJ’s for events.” DJ Ronnie Roux offered feedback on event dynamics, which is invaluable for planning wedding events with DJ Ronnie Roux.

Wedding Reviews

As of 2024, a 5 star rating is on each review. Read what other clients are saying on Google and Facebook. Communication is very important during the process, leading up to the big day. We put every effort into giving immediate correspondence to emails. Making sure the client feels confident in our professionalism and services is number one. Below are some wedding reviews from previous clients.

“DJ Ronnie Roux made our wedding the party we hoped for. He queued the music for our ceremony. We had jazz music during cocktail hour. For our reception we asked for a party and after guest ate we danced all night long. I only left the dance floor for maybe 10 minutes the whole night for drinks. My husband and I had sooo much fun. We had so many guest compliment Ronnie reading the vibe of the group. Everyone, young and old, had a great time.” Alexis Normand LeJeune

“Definitely the Best DJ around! A week after the wedding I’m still getting compliments of how much fun the guests had during the reception and it was all due to the great music and awesome DJ to keep the party going! I would definitely recommend DJ Ronnie Roux for your next private event!” Justin Reynaud

Destination Weddings in New Orleans

Booking vendors for a destination wedding can be challenging. Without a local contact, it’s difficult to know the reputation and work ethic of someone you are trying to hire. We work with wedding planners on a regular basis. If you are not using a planner, the next best option for picking a vendor, is researching reviews online. Click on the links above to read them.

Music

Music content is always a radio edit. Even with radio edits, some songs are not family friendly. Our default rule is to stay away from radio edits that could be considered inappropriate. If the client chooses to allow all radio edits, the playlist is adjusted. Music requests, by guests, vary on each event. This is up to the client. If the client has no preference, it’s usually DJ discretion mixed with the vibe of the party. Clients can share playlists via Spotify, typed text, Excel, and Google Sheets. The Spotify list can be cross referenced to our legal music library. When submitting playlists, please separate them by segments of the event. Lists such as, ceremony songs, cocktail hour, formal dances, dinner songs, reception songs early, reception songs late.
